FERRUM, Va. — Micah Johnson scored a game-high 16 points in a 61-53 win over Ferrum, leading the Berry College men's basketball team to its fourth win of the year. The Vikings improved to 4-2, while Ferrum fell to 2-3 on the season.
Caleb Haynes and Drew Jones also scored double-digits off the bench, as the Vikings shot 43.2% from the field. Berry held Ferrum to just a 32.1% field goal percentage.
Berry led 29-23 at the half thanks to 11 points from Haynes in the opening period. As a team, Berry shot 48.0% in the first half and hit three from distance. The Vikings led by as much as 14 in the second half and were able to hit 14 second-half free throws to secure the win.
The team returns home on Tuesday to host Toccoa Falls at 7:00 p.m.
