Women's Lacrosse Announces 2020-21 Newcomers

ROME, Ga. — Berry College head women’s lacrosse coach, Brittni Hall, announced the team’s 2020-21 recruiting class today.

“I am so excited to announce the addition of these eight women to our lacrosse program this year,” Hall said. “These women are going to push us as a program and as a team to accomplish bigger and better things. Each one of them bring a special and unique personality that will help us continue to build our team culture and push us to a higher level of play.”

Mary Axelson

(D, 5-4, Atlanta, Ga., Chamblee Charter)

Axelson served as a three-sport athlete at Chamblee Charter, also competing in softball and swimming.

The daughter of Laura and David Axelson, Mary plans to major in education.

 

Morgan Davis

(A, 5-6, Oviedo, Fla., Oviedo)

A four-year competitor out of Oviedo High School, Davis joins the Vikings after earning the team’s Student Athlete Award for consecutive years. As a senior, she scored 13 goals with a .684 shooting percentage and 23 groundballs.

The daughter of Donia and James Davis, Morgan plans to major in nursing.

 

Kate Krauser

(A, 5-6, Gainesville, Fla., Oak Hall School)

Krauser joins Berry after helping her team to a district title as a sophomore. She also served as a team captain.

She plans to major in finance and mathematics.

 

Haley Larsen

(M, 5-6, Grandville, Mich., Grandville)

A two-time All-Conference honoree, Larsen joins Berry out of Grandville High School in Michigan. For her career, she scored 91 goals and 56 assists and served as a team captain two seasons.

The daughter of Marie and Matt Larsen, Haley plans to major in animal science.

 

Abby Sprayberry

(A/M, 5-2, Watkinsville, Ga., Homeschool)

Sprayberry joins Berry after a two-sport prep career, also competing in soccer. She earned offensive MVP as a freshman and was selected for FCA Georgia Lacrosse.

The daughter of Amy and David Sprayberry, Abby plans to major in exercise science.

 

Kateleen Tuazon

(A, 4-10, Columbia, S.C., Spring Valley)

Tuazon joins the Vikings out of Spring Valley High School. She earned Rookie of the Year honors, leading her team to the state playoffs three times. She also helped the team to a pair of region titles. In three seasons, she scored 30 goals with 80 ground balls.

The daughter of Pam and Ronald Tuazon, Kateleen plans to major in exercise science.

 

Adrienna Van Soelen

(M, 5-2, Saint Johns, Fla., Creekside)

Van Soelen joins Berry after leading Creekside to the team’s first district title in 2018. She earned Most Improved Player and Most Valuable Player honors during her career. 

The daughter of Theresa McClintock and Keith Van Soelen, Adrienna plans to major in animal science.

 

Ally Washburn

(G, 5-10, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Calvary Christian Academy)

Washburn joins the Vikings after claiming a pair of All-District honors during her prep career. She was a four-sport athlete also competing in basketball, field hockey and soccer.

The daughter of Susan and Jeremiah Washburh, Ally plans to major in education and English.
