Volleyball's Season Comes to a Close in Regional Semifinals

ATLANTA — The Berry College volleyball team fell to No. 8 Colorado College on Saturday afternoon in straight sets, closing the books on the 2019 campaign.

Berry closes the season 27-6 overall while Colorado College, now 32-4, advanced to the Atlanta Regional Finals against Emory tomorrow. This season, the Vikings won the program's third straight Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament title and advances to the Regional Semifinals for the third straight year. 

Colorado College rolled out an efficient attack in the opening set, hitting .483 as a team to claim the opening frame 25-20. The Tigers seized all momentum with a big run to go up 17-11 in set two before winning in the final set 25-18. 

Emily Hancock led the way for Berry, posting 10 kills. Jordan Leitch passed 25 assists in the outing.
